Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Insurance Calculator Tools (insurecalctools.com) does and does not collect, how cookies and advertising work on this site, and the choices you have.
The short version
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the numbers you enter — the math happens on your device and nothing is uploaded to a server. We don’t require accounts and we don’t ask for personal information to use the tools.
Information we collect
Information you enter into calculators: processed locally in your browser and not sent to us. Some calculators may store your last inputs in your browser’s local storage on your own device for convenience; you can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
Basic analytics (if enabled): like most websites, we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages visited, general location at the country level, device type — to improve the site. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
Information you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, used only to respond to you.
Cookies and advertising
This site currently runs no live advertising. In the future, we plan to display ads through Google AdSense to support the site. When advertising is enabled, the following will apply:
- Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and, with your consent, personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s previous visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- For visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (IAB TCF v2.2) with Consent Mode v2, and gather consent before any personalised-ad cookies load. A consent banner appears for this purpose.
- For visitors in California and other U.S. states, we will honour applicable privacy choices through the same consent tool (for example, “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”).
Until advertising is live, the consent banner on this site is a placeholder and no advertising or tracking cookies are set by ad partners.
Third-party services
We load web fonts from Google Fonts to render the site’s typography; your browser requests these from Google’s servers. Some outbound links point to third-party sources (such as regulators or industry bodies) cited on our pages; those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don’t control.
Your choices
- Use your browser settings to block or clear cookies and local storage.
- Use browser privacy/ad-blocking extensions if you prefer.
- Adjust ad personalisation via the Google and aboutads.info links above (once ads are live).
- Email us to ask about any data associated with correspondence you’ve sent.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adults making insurance decisions and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves — most notably when advertising goes live. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
